Hello, I am Nadir

Nadir Alam is a teen researcher and community advocate. He is currently a senior in high school attending Cranbrook Schools.

He has worked over a year in the Pharmacology Department at the Wayne State University School of Medicine as a research assistant. He currently studies exercise as a combatant for neurodegenerative diseases in a Drosophila Melanogaster (fruit-fly) model. 

His work has been awarded the First Place Award at the Science and Engineering Fair of Metro Detroit, published in an international journal, and used in hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of grant proposals.

He has received the Gold President's Volunteer Service Award for his dedication to helping community members suffering from neurodegenerative diseases and spreads awareness to preventative actions his community can take. Read more here.
